Valkyries take to the field finally
On 28th July 2021 the Valkyries finally took to the field to play their first hardball development game as part of a combined Valkyries/WRCC Ladies team. Having partnered up with our friends at Westquarter & Redding Cricket Club we have now been able to compile five further hardball development games for the team. On 22nd July we also held the 1st ever all female cricket match in Callander when they hosted Dunblane Cranes in CFV Trossachs T10 Competition. A bright future ahead for this team!!

Thank You Baillie Gifford
The club would like to say a huge Thank You to Baillie Gifford for the grant of £5000 towards our Disability and Women & Girls Programs. This is going to go a long way to restarting activity and allowing us to offer cricket to everyone in our community regardless of age, gender or ability. All our coaches can not wait to get back to doing what they do best - delivering fun sessions. We would also like to take this moment to welcome our 1st two female coaches, Eve and Marley to the team!!

Funding Support
The club is really excited to publish that it has received £5700 Grant Funding from National Lottery Players to help it return to activity in 2021. After a year of inactivity in 2020 due to the Global pandemic, the club wants to ensure it can put on activity for everyone within our community regardless of age, gender or ability and this funding will go a long way to supporting our Disability Cricket Program, allowing us to hire safe and acceesible facilities for their training and matches.

Its been a busy period over the winter and a load of fun indoors with the Centurions and 1st team. The Kwiks competed well finishing mid table in their league and the 1st team currently sit top of theirs having won 3 out of the 4 games so far. We had the pleasure of hosting Scotland International Chris Sole for an evening where he presented the Girls with the Boys v Girls Trophy and behind the scenes we are working hard to get training facilities here in Callander. 2018 promises to be a good one
